Roosevelt High School Class of 1950 had its 51st reunion party at Chubby's Restaurant on September 30th, 2001. We had about 50 old men and attractive women and many beautiful cars on display. Ron and Teri Schriner provided live music to make the evening seem like high school again. The principal Bryan Wells and head football coach Lourenco and two of the varsity players also attended. We had encouraging words from Mr Wells and coach Lourenco for the support that Roosevelt Class of 60 alumni has given to the school. There were tee shits for sale supporting Roosevelt High School. Ken Kemmerer gave a short talk about the RHS club 60. This is a group of alumni from the class of 60 but open to all RHS alumni that want to give 60 dollars once a year to help support the athletics at Roosevelt. This money is handled by an alumni committe that determines the unmet needs of all the athletic programs and gives money to help support these unfunded needs. The RHS Club 60 has been successful in giving $500 to help pay for the lettermans jackets for the football team this year. We continue to get donations and encourage anyone who wants to give back to RHS to call Ken at 559 291-1267 or e-mail at ken.kemmerer@concast.net and he will get you set up. Everyone had a great time at Chubby's and it was sad to go home and to leave all our friends and classmates. The alumni wants to meet every year until our 55 year party arrives. A special thank you to Willie at Chubby's for giving us his place to use. He provided tables for us outside in addition to his regular tables and his staff served us food and drinks in the parking lot and every where else. I want to thank all my RHS classmates for making this a great event. We will try to do one or more of these events each year to stay connected. --- Ken Kemmmerer
2011
On Wednesday, November 16, 2011 a luncheon was held at Belmont Country Club. There were approximately 35 Roosevelt Alumni present, many with their spouses, some by themselves, with a total attendance count of approximately 60 people.
There was representation from 1958 to 1962 classes present. The event began at 11:00 A.M. with a no host bar and social hour. The buffet lunch menu consisted of a tossed green salad with choice of dressings, turkey, beef and ham croissant sandwiches, fruit salad, an assortment of cookies for desert, iced tea and coffee. Many kudos to Saundra Longcor Issacson and husband Bob for spearheading all of the arrangements for the luncheon. Everyone was having a great time visiting and sharing. It was great to get together. Let's do it again next year! --Larry Meacham

The annual 82nd Little Big Game between Roosevelt High School and Fresno High School was held November 9, 2011 at Radcliffe Stadium. Roosevelt Alumni in attendance sitting in the alumni section were Lynn Armstrong - 60 & Spouse Brenda, Raoul (Cookie) Rodriquez - 60 & Spouse, Bob Jensen - 60, Duke Millard - 60, Ken Kemmerer - 60, Bob Kodman - 60, Larry Meacham - 60, and Charlie Martinez -59.
Roosevelt scored on the opening kickoff and then scored two more times in the first quarter, missing the first two extra points and making the third one. The score at the half time was Roosevelt - 19 & Fresno High - 0.
The begining of the second half saw the Alumni down on the field in front of Roosevelt's tunnel, high fiving the team as they ran back onto the field after the half time was over.
Fresno High scored twice in the 3rd Quarter, missing both extra points, bringing the score to RHS - 19 & FHS - 12. RHS scored again in the 4th quarter and made the extra point, making it RHS - 26 & FHS - 12 and bringing the FINAL score to RHS - 26 & FHS - 12. It was a very exciting game, especially, of course that Roosevelt had won the game. This is the fourth year in a row that Roosevelt has won the game and retained possession of the "PIG".
Little-Big Game
2009 - Roosevelt beat Fresno at the Little - Big Game... AGAIN!
2009
The 1960 alumni had front row seats in a special section on the 50 yard line. Our classmates even were invited to stand at the goal line for the final touchdown. After the game the 'guys' went on the field to congradulate the team. It was a very special evening.
2009
About 25 Rough Riders from the Class of 60 gathered in front of the fountain to see the unearthing of the Time Capsule, but it was not to be. There was nothing but dirt in the hole. That did not dampen the spirits of the group as they renewed acquaintances, catching up on the lastest happenings of the group and hearing from principal, Bryan Wells, the exciting things happening at our alma mater and the successes of the students. Principal Wells then gave the group a personal tour of the campus. A great time was had by all.
Steering Committee 'hard' at work.
